Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Midland, Texas. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong background in accounting, particularly cost accounting within a manufacturing environment. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while contributing to the overall success of the accounting department. Responsibilities: • Oversee and execute general ledger accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Manage timely completion of month-end and year-end closings. • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and monthly bank reconciliations. • Maintain fixed asset records and ensure proper coding in the general ledger. • Assist in preparing tax documentation and supporting external audits. • Monitor and resolve inventory discrepancies to ensure accurate reporting. • Generate detailed post-close monthly financial reports. • Lead special accounting projects to enhance operational efficiency. • Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; advanced degrees such as a Master’s are preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with preference for candidates experienced in manufacturing environments. • Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Excel is essential. • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and general ledger processes. • Familiarity with audit procedures and tax preparation. • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP is highly desirable. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
