Sr. Accountant
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in San Francisco, California. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients and senior leadership, managing complex tax strategies and financial processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in tax preparation, research, and planning, along with a commitment to accuracy and excellence. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review various tax filings, including corporate, partnership, individual, trust, and estate income returns. • Conduct in-depth research on tax regulations and financial practices to develop effective strategies. • Collaborate directly with clients to address tax-related concerns and implement solutions. • Develop and execute tax projections and strategies, ensuring compliance with quarterly tax payments. • Oversee and guide less experienced tax accountants, providing mentorship and training on best practices. • Represent clients during audits, working in partnership with senior leadership. • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality. • Identify potential tax issues and propose proactive measures to mitigate risks. • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial and tax documentation. • Provide consulting services on accounting policies and procedures for diverse businesses. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business with a focus on Accounting. • CPA license or equivalent certification; advanced degree in Accounting or Taxation is preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax work, financial analysis, or related fields. • Proficiency in tax software such as Lacerte, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel capabilities. • Strong ability to conduct tax research using online tools and reliable resources. • Exceptional attention to detail and adherence to error-free documentation standards. • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information clearly to clients and team members. • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
