Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to manage key accounting tasks, including reconciliation processes and financial data analysis. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of a thriving construction company.
Responsibilities:
• Retrieve and organize invoice copies using QuickBooks to ensure accurate financial records.
• Compile lists of items by item number in spreadsheets for efficient data tracking.
• Reconcile listed items against material transfer sheets to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain updated and balanced accounts.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all entries are properly accounted for.
• Prepare journal entries and adjust the general ledger as needed.
• Assist with month-end close processes to finalize financial reports.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Provide recommendations for improving accounting procedures and workflows. Requirements • Proven experience in account reconciliation and financial statement analysis.
• Proficiency in balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation and reporting.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks for invoice tracking and record management.
• Experience with month-end close procedures in a detail-oriented environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
