Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will specialize in utility accounting and regulatory compliance for a large residential portfolio, while contributing to the success of luxury multi-family communities. Responsibilities: • Oversee daily operations related to utility accounting, including the review and analysis of utility bills and consumption data. • Coordinate and manage the organization of meters across residential and commercial properties. • Perform reconciliations and analyses to ensure accurate and timely billing for utility services. • Collaborate with internal teams to support compliance with regulatory requirements. • Develop and maintain detailed records and reports to track utility-related expenses and usage. • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency. • Assist in strategic planning and provide insights based on utility consumption and financial data. • Ensure accuracy and completeness in all financial transactions and reports. • Support audits and regulatory reviews by providing necessary documentation and analysis. • Contribute to the overall success of the accounting team by sharing knowledge and best practices.
