Sr. Accountant
Description We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. This Contract-to-Permanent role offers an opportunity to manage critical financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in reporting, reconciliations, and analysis. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting systems, financial data management, and collaborative problem-solving to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review accurate monthly financial reports to ensure compliance with organizational standards. • Perform detailed account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations, to maintain financial accuracy. • Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and precise reporting. • Utilize Sage Intacct software to streamline accounting operations and financial reporting. • Oversee general ledger activities and maintain journal entries to support proper accounting procedures. • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic business decisions and forecasting. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial processes with broader organizational goals. • Provide technical accounting expertise for complex transactions and offer guidance on policies. • Monitor and manage cash flow activities to optimize financial health. • Assist with audit preparation and multi-entity financial management, as needed. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA certification is preferred but not required. • Demonstrated experience in account reconciliation and balance sheet management. • Proficiency in Sage Intacct software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Solid understanding of general ledger and journal entry processes. • Proven ability to manage month-end close procedures efficiently. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with executives, investors, and bankers. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
