_In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs._
Senior Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales efforts targeting Tier 2 OEMs within the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and commercial refrigeration sectors in Japan, specifically focused on selling Solstice refrigerants. This dynamic role requires approximately 75% travel to meet clients and explore business opportunities. The successful candidate will work closely with both the APAC and global teams, gaining valuable experience in a multi-national corporate culture. The ideal candidate will have strong relationship-building skills, a solid understanding of the HVAC and chemical industries, prior channel sales experience, and will engage in business development efforts, including channel management, to expand market reach.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in Tier 2 HVAC and commercial refrigeration OEM markets across Japan, with a focus on Solstice refrigerants.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new accounts.
- Manage channel relationships to drive sales growth and ensure partner satisfaction regarding Solstice refrigerants.
- Effectively present and demonstrate Solstice refrigerant offerings to potential OEM customers.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure profitable sales agreements.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and growth opportunities within the HVAC and commercial refrigeration sectors specific to refrigerants.
- Engage in business development efforts aimed at expanding the customer base and increasing market penetration.
- Collaborate with product development teams and work closely with colleagues from APAC and global operations to align customer needs with Solstice product offerings.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities within the company CRM.
**Sales Metrics:**
- Achieve revenue targets set for the fiscal year, with performance evaluated based on total revenue generated from Solstice refrigerants.
**Qualifications:**
- Education*: A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, Marketing, or a related field is *required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience is preferred, particularly in HVAC, chemical, or related industries targeting OEMs. Experience in channel management, channel sales, and business development is also preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills:
- High motivation to learn HVAC and refrigeration systems, particularly with refrigerants, as well as related products and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across cultures.
- Language Proficiency*: Business-level Japanese (native level) is *required for effective communication with clients in Japan. Basic level of English (writing, speaking and listening) is required, and motivation continuously improve English is MUST.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales force automation tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing customer needs and market conditions.
Working Conditions:
- The role will require approximately 75% of the time to be spent traveling to customer sites, industry events, and trade shows.
- Flexibility in working hours may be necessary to accommodate client schedules and various geographical locations.
