American National is currently seeking an experienced Senior Web Developer II to join our team! This role will develop, design, implement and support software solutions and systems within web-based applications. These applications support products for personal and commercial lines of property and casualty insurance for internal staff, agents, and customers.

Minimum Requirements

5+ years of experience in web-based software development environments with front-end UI applications Experience in TypeScript, Angular version 16 or later, and NodeJS Experience with RESTful services Experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design concepts and implementation Experience writing and maintaining unit tests Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent required Experience with the full product life cycle including requirements gathering, prototyping, testing, QA and deployment Strong written, verbal, customer service and analytical skills are necessary Experience leading small teams of developers in project work including daily standups and code reviews Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with constant change in a more than satisfactory manner

Experience working in the property and casualty insurance industry Experience with JavaScript Experience with J2EE Experience with Material Design Experience with agile development and the SAFe agile framework Experience with Azure DevOPs Experience with Postman, Chrome DevTools, VSCode Experience with non-functional requirements such software security risks and remediations, implementing owasp recommendations, application performance, code-reuse, etc. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
