Job Description:
Supervises the overall operations and daily activities of staff. Oversees receivening and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. Monitors and evaluates staff performance and shift goals against broader business objectives. Ensures the safety of goods and materials, utilizes warehouse management system (WMS), entreprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance. Impplements strong safety policies and procedures. Is also responsible for the warehouse area KPIs, emphasizing that all efforts are directed toward meeting them, especially the OTD (On-Time Delivery) metric.
Job Requirements:
Achieves high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.Monitors the daily status of production areas and based on this, determines deliveries (warehouse supply). In coordination with their immediate supervisor and planners, they determine supply priorities.Where applicable, periodically reviews the inventory status of raw materials/sub-assemblies with the client, always seeking to maintain a minimum but sufficient inventory to meet quotas.Responsible for supplying the raw materials and/or sub-assemblies needed on the production floor for manufacturing products.Periodically reviews the finished goods inventory status with the client, always aiming to keep inventory at a minimum. Based on these reviews and Corporate sales forecasts, monthly production schedules are defined jointly with the client, and staffing needs are planned accordingly.Coordinates and plans the activities of subordinates, indicating priorities for the various areas and assigning responsible parties.Responsible for conducting Daily Management to follow up on important topics in their work area.Continuously coordinates with Production Supervisors and Planners to closely follow up on pending matters in their area.Maintains constant communication with Corporate to review schedules, negotiate, request support, and address whatever is needed to meet area objectives.Conducts performance evaluations of their staff and, together with their immediate supervisor and the Human Resources department, determines salary increases.Periodically analyzes training and development needs of their staff and, together with the Human Resources Manager, develops strategies to foster employee growth.Maintain accuracy of inventory at levels required, having in place the cycle count program in a Daily manner.Responsible for Physical inventory and Physical Inventory exemptions according finance policy.Have the improvement system tools in place in order to reduce wastes and problem-solving process.Measures and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee's performance.May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments.Makes day to day decisions within or for a group/small department.Operating Company:
