YOUR ROLE

The Sr systems Engineer on our team shall be responsible for ensuring that the products and technology meet customer and regulatory requirements. You will manage customer communication, requirements, and expectations throughout the product development lifecycle.

In your daily job you will:

Design, develop, and validate new products and technologyEnsure that system features and deliverables are completed on time per Aptiv quality standards                        Follow APTIV design standards, guidelines, best practices, procedures and policiesLead feature definition and requirement reviews         Ensure the logical and systematic transformation of requirements into a total system solutionContribute to requirement analysis, system architecture, and feature integration / verificationConvert customer requirements into product requirements and design specificationEnsure proper development, execution and verification across all engineering competenciesResponsible to lead technical discussions, design reviews and customer presentationsDevelop innovative and creative solutions to unique engineering challengesManage and track system features to ensure high quality delivery on-timeDrive process, procedure, and methodology improvements to optimize and continuously improve work efficiency

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (mechatronics, electrical, or related field of study)5+ years professional experience in Consumer Electronics or Automotive IndustryInterpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a positive approach to challengeCross functional interests, ambitious and self-driven. Adaptive, comfortable with ambiguityAbility to effectively manage several projects at onceStrong soft skills: skilled networking creation, influencing skills, constantly learning, positive and ownership profileProven record of taking customer requirements from design to productionKnowledge of programming (C or other language)Familiarity with embedded systems designsFamiliarity with microprocessor/controller based hardware designs, System/Software Architectures for automotive designs, and network topologyFamiliarity with Functional Safety or Cybersecurity knowledge/backgroundFamiliarity with ADAS ECU, Radars Design, Body Control Modules or similar.Familiarity with system/software development processes (Automotive SPICE) and toolsExperience with vehicle protocols and diagnosticsExperience with embedded hardware and serial communication tools
