Job Purpose/Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist and direct the One Tyson Dredging and Trolley Repair team to achieve operational financial and business objectives as established with the Dredging Manager and environmental health and safety EHS Leadership Team while maintaining One Tyson Core Values and Cultural Tenets. Working Sr. Supervisor position that will fill gaps when department is short on staffing and/or to meet the needs of department projects/Dredging/or other duties as assigned. Assurance that all Environmental policies, complex permits, and department policies are adhered to per management & One Tyson requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and promote the One Tyson safety culture; achieve and sustain all regulatory compliance requirements for the application of Biosolids; Ensure all equipment is PM’d, repaired and functional to deploy to projects; Entry of requisitions, Purchase Order generation and tracking of necessary department and CIR items ordered. Coordination with vendors to assure the correct items are order to meet mission needs and assure vendor is paid in a timely manner. Assist management with the development of annual budget and 10 yr. capitol plans; provide technical support that contributes to attainment of the business unit goals; lead & assist Management Support TM’s during dredging/spreading projects and recommend new technologies and processes. Site visits to upcoming/potential CIR projects to meet customer (complex) needs and visit local farmers receiving product, on needed farm locations for land application.
Requirements:
Education/Certifications: bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience. Wastewater license a plus.
Experience: 3 plus years of experience.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Workday, and Utilization of SAP a plus.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Knowledge of environmental regulations pertaining to the application of Biosolids. Basic mechanical skills to direct team members successful repair and maintenance of equipment. Familiar with agricultural processes for land application and analysis of soil samples per environmental and complex regulations.
Physical Requirements: Working Sr. Supervisor positions occasionally requires physical strength and agility necessary to perform lifting of fifty (50) lbs. or more from ground to shoulder. Position requires ability to stand and work in hot and cold weather for 10–12-hour shifts. Ability to safely operate vehicles without assistance to include skid steers, Lulls, tractors, forklifts, and other department equipment. Must be able to pass mask (PFT) testing and the ability to utilize a emergency escape mask.
Supervisory: Operational control & working alongside of 8 team members for daily and/or project tasks.
Travel: 30%+ travel required.
