Sr Supply Chain Manager

Who is the Sr Supply Chain Manager?

In Asurion’s ever evolving and highly competitive industry, this role is critical in retaining Asurion competitiveness. The Senior Manager, Supply Chain is accountable for leading end-to-end Supply Chain Management (SCM) operations across Singapore. This role plays a critical leadership function in delivering on financial, customer experience, and transformation goals.

What are the key responsibilities?

Strategic Planning and Cost Optimization  

Lead the development and execution of Singapore’s purchasing and inventory strategy.  Identify, evaluate, and onboard sourcing partners that deliver strategic and financial advantages.  Analyze supply network dynamics to mitigate risk and uncover optimization opportunities.  Maximize repair yield by leveraging cost-efficient sourcing pathways and expand and manage Next Best Use initiatives to maximize lifecycle value of device cores.  

Operational Excellence & Last Mile Execution  

Lead warehouse and inventory operations to consistently meet service level and compliance standards.  Oversee last-mile delivery and collection services, ensuring high-performance service execution and collaboration with OEM-authorized repair agents to optimize turnaround times and repair quality and proactively drives a continuous improvement in culture in the Supply Chain operating network. Champion team development through coaching, performance management, and leadership growth and ensure adherence to international trade and compliance standards.  

Client-Driven Innovation & Capability Expansion  

Improve and expand Supply Chain Operations to meet evolving client, business, and customer needs.   Expand Asurion’s mobile phone repair capability by enabling customers to walk into retail repair outlets to get their phones repaired on-the-spot.  Streamlining fulfilment lead-time (SLA reduction and 7 days support) to enhance customer experience and formulate and develop new Supply Chain driven capabilities to create top-line value  

Home+ Expansion & Regional Enablement  

Collaborate with Product and Client Services on development of Home+ supportability for Singapore programs.  Refine SCM operational processes with internal and external stakeholders (Continuous Improvement). Expand Home+ SCM supply and support network (Procurement, Reman and Liquidation) in building a comprehensive value chain.   Establish a tested and proven Home+ support framework which can be replicable and/or customizable for regional adoption.    

Stakeholder Leadership & Collaboration

Internal stakeholders – across both Singapore & APAC  

Primary alignment with Customer Solutions, Client Services & Finance against key customer experience & cost objectives  Secondary alignment into: APAC supply chain to leverage best-in-class IPBroader stakeholders including IT, client team, product team etc.  

External partners – continually optimize short term performance & long-term evolution  

Logistics partners – last mile network to distribute replacement devices & collect damaged devices  Repair partners – authorized service partners to repair damaged devices  Device distribution partners – purchasing of new or refurbished mobile phones  Value-add partners – on demand or value-add services that are performed during customers’ interaction (onsite data transfer etc)  

Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in Mobile Device, IT or Consumer Electronics Service or Supply Chain Management.  Proven experience in leading and developing operations teams with a hands-on, proactive, and exploratory mindset.Experience in managing and improving performance of 3rd-Party OEM Repair and Logistics Partners.  Experience in managing change management projects with tight timelines.  Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.  Knowledge in Data Analytics is an advantage.
