We are currently looking for a Sr Supplier Warranty Engineer to join our team in Mexico City. This role is critical to investigating supplier warranty claims, analyzing liability data, and driving quality improvements across Nissan.

A Day in the Life:

Investigate warranty claims to determine technical and financial liability through part reviews and incident rate analysisNegotiate warranty liability rates with suppliers and propose countermeasures for field concernsCollaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and customer service teams to resolve warranty-related issuesPrepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommending corrective actionsLead special projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives across warranty processes

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automotive engineeringMinimum 5 years of professional automotive experienceAdvanced English levelStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesProficiency in data analysis tools and warranty systems (e.g., CPIA Edart, QIDEA, WRAPs)Ability to perform work onsite at [Insert Location]Willingness to travel: Day travel up to 50%, overnight travel up to 30%, including international travel as needed

Desired:

Familiarity with vehicle design, supplier quality processes, and statistical process controlAbility to interpret dimensional layouts of parts, sub-assemblies, or systemsRelevant certifications in automotive engineering or warranty managementExperience with cross-functional project leadershipAdvanced computer skills across word processing, spreadsheets, and mainframe applications

Reporting Line:
Reports to: Manager Total Customer Satisfaction
Supervisory capacity: May lead cross-functional teams or direct other engineers on special projects
