About the Role

The position serves as a strategic legal partner and a member of L&BO team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

General Legal Affairs:

Draft and review standard commercial contracts, build up commercial contract templatesReview commercial and operational contracts as well as commercial letters, statements from legal perspectivePerform legal research on various commercial issues, provide legal opinions on daily commercial issuesDeal with litigation and arbitration, etc.

Governmental and Regulatory Affairs:

Facilitate the maintain the communication channel with government and regulators, as well as management the relationshipsSupport the CEO and senior management to deal with all governmental and regulatory matters, including coordinating regulatory onsite inspections and visits; prepare presentations and scripts for senior management; assisting negotiating government subsidies, etc.Handle official documents from regulators, associations/governmental agencies, including registration, circulation and providing interpretation and clarification of regulatory requirements when necessaryManage the receipt and submission of all regulatory reports, including regulatory system maintenance, quality control and status trackingManage the issuance of all internal official documents (内部公文)

Reputational Risk Management

Design and implement IAMC’s branding strategy, policies, CIVI guideline and advertisement plans, and organize branding eventsDesign and implement IAMC’s PR strategy, manage media relationship and prepare press materials, and respond to daily media requirements if anyDesign and implement CSR strategy and organize CRS-related eventsDevelop IAMC’s Reputation Management System as requested by NAFR and reputation management frameworkKeep record of all issue management reports and other reports required by the Reputation Management SystemExecute reputational issues/crisis management, including joining crises working team, holding statement drafting, media monitoring, media requests responding etc.Organize annual issue/crisis management training targeting senior management and relevant stakeholders within IAMCResponsible for social media management including daily operationsPrepare PR&CSR reports as requested by the local regulator

Corporate Governance & Board Secretarial Management:

Work closely with team members to manage Board operations including planning/organizing meetings, preparing agendas/minutes/resolutions to ensure regulatory/Group complianceOversee director lifecycle processes (elections, retirements, appraisals, INED talent pool) and facilitate director effectiveness through research, query resolution, and dedicated meetings/workshops

Minimum Job Requirements:

Degree in lawAt minimum 3-5 years PQEExperience from insurance asset management company or insurance company is preferredExperience in communicating with regulators is a plusExperience from a reputable law firm or multinational company is a plusProficiency in spoken and written English in order to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholdersAccountable, efficient, detail oriented, good team player and willing to explore new area
