JOB TITLE:     Senior Software Engineer

LOCATION:    Dallas, TX (hybrid role, may work from home)

DUTIES: Develop, test and operate end-to-end software solutions using machine learning, related optimization, and knowledge systems; drive the technical direction and feature roadmap of large-scale distribution systems; mentor engineers on responding to production program issues and coach on resolution; work as an expert lead on production and testing to identify defects; lead testing and implement system enhancements using techniques that preserve system integrity and drive a results-oriented environment; ensure that systems are functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated through latest industry standards NDC and One Order; define procedures, standards, measurements, accountability, and promote quality and quantity of work; subject matter expert level influence for scope of solution for Offer and Order; remain abreast of industry trends and develop business cases for changes; measure and define parameters for transitioning of features into a production environment; lead consistent forms of communication within teams while facilitating Tech sessions for updates and idea sharing; partner, lead, and collaborate with all levels vertically from team-members up to senior leaders; communicate with external parties and industry consortium to enhance knowledge and identify opportunities for teams; lead team to find best solution and offer thought leadership while ideating and challenging group think; embody Agile best practices and continuous improvement; identify problems, perform root cause analysis, investigate information, perform impact analysis; formulate and execute plans to develop solutions; mentor on solutioning, identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions while researching pros/cons of alternative options; understand and estimate efforts and value for solutions.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronic Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a software engineer/developer, tech lead, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 5 years in enterprise software development; 2 years using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring integration, XML, JSON and REST webservices; 2 years in Docker, Jenkins and Gitlab pipeline deployments, Agile framework, DevOps, REST APIs, SOAP UI, SQL and NoSQL database design patterns; and 2 years in airlines OTA schemas in compliance with IATA standards. Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
