Serve as an **escalation point for other engineers** to troubleshoot and manage severe incidents in production; encourage the adoption of best practices in incident management within the team. \-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ---- 1. **MS/BS in Computer Science** or a related field, with at least **6 years of individual contributor experience** as a software engineer. 2. **Fluent in Go, Java, or C++**. 3. **Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture** — including concepts like consensus, convergence, load balancing, data consistency, and performance/efficiency. 4. **Strong communication skills**, both written and verbal, to articulate complex ideas to engineering teams. 5. Experience being **on-call and handling operational issues** for a system serving production traffic. \-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ---- 1. Prior experience in **fintech or payments**. 2. Prior experience with **Go**. 3. Proven ability to **identify and resolve performance and scalability issues**. 4.
