Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Represent Media Manager Software Design team, Lead the development and flow-down of system requirements, architecture, and system-level design, risk assessments, cybersecurity evaluations, integration and testing strategies, and support for manufacturing, field operations, and customer service—including corrective and preventive actions to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Contribute to product strategy by influencing architectural decisions and designing robust solutions to address complex customer challenges.
Write code that meets standards and delivers the desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
Build features for the Windows Platform and enable integration with other GE HealthCare Systems.
Manage high-priority customer escalations, acting as the primary technical point of contact. Analyze and resolve critical software issues, delivering timely and effective workarounds to minimize customer impact.
Independently debug and troubleshoot complex software problems using advanced tools such as WinDbg, Visual Studio crash dump, Event Viewer, and performance profilers.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to identify root causes and drive long-term, sustainable fixes.
Provide hands-on support to early adopter customers, ensuring smooth onboarding, rapid issue resolution, and a positive user experience.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)
A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Software Development OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in Software Development
Technical expertise in System Software Design and Test, Data Structures and Software Reliability and Distributed System Architecture
Experience developing and Testing Enterprise applications using (.NET, C#, Angular, HTML, JavaScript)
Experience with Databases such as SQL Server.
Experience with public cloud infrastructures such as AWS or Azure
Expert understanding of functional and nonfunctional requirements
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desired Characteristics:
Expertise in the design and development of cloud solutions.
Strong Programming Skills in .NET & Web technologies like C#, Angular, HTML
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with popular test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, RoboFramework).
Strong debugging and unit testing skills using a well-known and accepted unit testing framework
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools and CI/CT/CD processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communicates clearly and succinctly, and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions
Experience with UAT and Production implementation & support.
Test Design (Create/Review Test Procedures, Create/Review Test Conditions, Identify/Create Test Data)
Test Execution (Execute Test Procedures, Create/Triage Bugs, Status Reporting, Provide Requirements Traceability)
Experience with Healthcare or Medical Imaging is a PLUS.
