Sr Software Developer - Python - Remote US

This role is central to scaling our data pipelines and calculation workflows that support decision-making in the residential real estate mortgage domain. This role will work with large datasets, streaming sources, and message brokers to build robust, scalable data workflows in production using tools such as Apache Airflow, Dagster, and others. Bringing experience with machine learning frameworks and particularly their orchestration, or domain experience in residential real estate or mortgage processing/analysis, would be very highly preferred. Essential Job Functions: + Design, implement, and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines using Python and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect. + Architect and deploy asynchronous workflows, streaming ETL pipelines, and event-driven architectures using message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.). + Optimize performance and reliability of data systems in a high-volume, production environment. + Build reusable components, automate routine data tasks, and ensure observability across all workflows. + Work closely with product and domain experts in real estate and mortgage to translate business needs into robust data solutions. + Such other activities as may be assigned by your manager Qualifications/ Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, Information Systems preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience + Experienced professional with 6+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 1+ years in a Senior Associate level role or external equivalent. + 6+ years of professional Python development experience, with a focus on data pipelines and asynchronous systems. + Proven experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores, handling large datasets. + Proven experience building and scaling production workflows using Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar tools. + Strong knowledge of message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, etc.) and event-driven data architecture. + Familiarity with containerized deployment (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native services (AWS, GCP, or Azure). + Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment. + Experience in the residential real estate or mortgage industry, especially around mortgage pricing and valuation preferred + Familiarity with data privacy, compliance, and auditability in regulated industries preferred + Experience integrating machine learning models into data workflows preferred + Solid knowledge and understanding of Object Oriented (Analysis, Design, Programming) + Experience managing UX – Human centered designs + Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, or similar tools + Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed + Demonstrates attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness + Strong organization, administrative and documentation skills + Proven analytical and creative problem-solving skills + Ability to manage competing demands, delays, or unexpected events \#LI-AS1 #LI-Remote Note: This job description is not intended to be all inclusive or exclusive. The annual full time base salary range for this role is $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval.
