Quickbase is looking for a Senior IAM Engineer in Sofia, Bulgaria to join our growing global security team. You will own and guide implementation of identity and access control practice across Quickbase’s ecosystem and corporate IT. This is a hands-on, senior-level role where you’ll drive automation, integrate with HR and IT systems, and strengthen our compliance posture (SOC 2, HIPAA). You will work closely with our security team in the U.S. while building strong regional engineering partnerships in Sofia. Responsibilities + IAM Architecture & Operations + Design and engineer IAM systems using Okta, AWS/GCP IAM and other SaaS platforms to enforce zero trust and least privilege. + Review and guide the automation of joiner/mover/leaver processes via SCIM and SAML integrations with HRIS, ITSM and SaaS apps. + Collaborate with regional IT and engineering teams to standardize SSO, MFA, and RBAC implementation across all systems. + Cloud & SaaS Governance + Integrate cloud-native access controls (IAM roles, policies, federated access) across AWS environments. + Drive consistent identity governance across tools like GitHub, Netskope, Jira, and Salesforce. + Support access review campaigns and certification workflows in line with compliance requirements. + Privileged Access & Policy Enforcement + Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of privileged access management (PAM) program. + Build enforcement workflows and monitoring for elevated access and break-glass scenarios. + Security & Compliance Collaboration + Work with our U.S. GRC and audit teams to maintain audit-ready evidence for SOC 2, HIPAA and vendor risk assessments. + Participate in internal and external audits, providing documentation and technical insight. + Documentation & Knowledge Transfer + Author and maintain SOPs, technical diagrams and exception workflows. + Train IT and Security Operations team members and support long-term knowledge transfer. Requirements · Proven experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM), with a strong understanding of access control principles across both product engineering and internal IT environments. · Hands-on expertise with Okta, including implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) across internal applications. · Demonstrated ability to identify and close security and access gaps in both technical systems and organisational processes. · Experience with privileged access management (PAM) - ideally having led or contributed to its implementation and optimisation. · Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and proactively propose improvements.
