JOB DESCRIPTION

This senior manager level sales position leads all commercial activity and related customer communication for responsible programs; directs account management; is responsible for the development and maintenance of account relationships and sales/profitability; and directs negotiations as appropriate.

Leads all commercial activity and related customer communication for responsible programsServes as the voice of Adient to the customer and the voice of the customer internally at AdientStrong leadership with excellent organizational skills responsible for developing creative strategies for profitable growthInitiates, develops, and grows customer relationships with purchasing, engineering, and program execution personnel, paving the way for optimal and efficient commercial negotiationsStrong financial skillset and solid understanding of financial metrics.Evaluates business cases and presents to leadership for approvalLeads change management process from a commercial perspective and works with program excellence teams to maximize commercial opportunities during the product development processCoordinates across all product groups to develop commercial recovery strategies and to negotiate fair and reasonable commercial recoveries (obsolescence, mix changes, increased demand over CPV, scrap etc.)Develops and maintains an accurate commercial action item list in Salesforce in support of annual company commercial commitmentsUnderstands customer documents and owns submission of necessary documents required for quotes and other commercial claimsEnsures purchase orders are updated in a timely and accurate manner upon resolution of commercial negotiation with the customerMentors account managers

Qualifications:

10 years’ diverse experience in automotive manufacturing, including sales and commercial finance

MBA preferred (bachelor’s degrees will also be considered)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Computer proficiency
