**Senior Sales Executive – Government (APAC & Japan)**
Are you a seasoned sales leader with a passion for driving impactful solutions within the government sector? We're looking for a **Senior Sales Executive** to spearhead our growth in the APAC and Japan markets, focusing on **Citizen Identity** and other non-financial vertical markets.
In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for developing and executing a multi-year sales plan to achieve ambitious fiscal year goals and cultivate a robust pipeline for future growth. Leveraging Entrust's extensive portfolio, you'll act as an **overlay sales specialist** , crafting tailored sales strategies for specific applications.
You'll be a **subject matter expert (SME)** , orchestrating multidisciplinary teams including pre-sales, sales, and bid response to engage with government agencies, integrators, partners, and strategic alliances. This is an exciting opportunity to drive significant revenue generation and shape the future of identity solutions across a critical region.
**What You'll Do:**
Customer Engagement & Selling (60%)
+ **Identify and seize new business opportunities** by analyzing prospects and their market position.
+ **Research and analyze sales options** , including strategic partnerships and channel plays.
+ **Build and nurture relationships** with prospects, end-users, partners, and channels.
+ **Act as an expert for identity solutions** , leading and coordinating team selling efforts with account managers, bid management, and technical resources.
+ Contribute to **account planning, budgeting, and forecasting** .
+ Develop deep relationships with key decision-makers within target accounts, influencing product development strategies based on customer needs.
+ **Drive and close sales** , sharing accountability for quarterly and annual targets.
Business Development & Organizational Engagement (40%)
+ **Strategic Alliances** : Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders to drive strategic collaborations in the citizen identity sector.
+ **Business Growth** : Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence.
+ **Solution Expertise** : Leverage your deep expertise in **biometric identity verification** to guide solution development and align offerings with market needs.
+ **Market Analysis** : Conduct comprehensive market analysis and competitive benchmarking to inform strategic decision-making.
+ **Partnership Management** : Collaborate closely with alliance partners for successful implementation and ongoing management of joint initiatives.
+ Stay abreast of new product or capability developments that can impact sales activities.
+ Contribute sales input to marketing and product activities.
+ Develop and maintain a deep understanding of competitive offerings.
+ Cultivate close relationships with associations and entities that impact covered vertical markets.
+ Utilize CRM and other tools for impeccable pipeline building, tracking, and financial planning.
+ Create annual/quarterly business plans and reviews to ensure performance against targets.
+ Accurately forecast orders and manage opportunity funnels.
**What You'll Bring:**
+ **Strong experience in biometric IDV solutions** and a comprehensive understanding of the industry.
+ **Proven track record in business development and strategic alliance management.**
+ **Excellent communication and negotiation skills.**
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
+ **Experience selling technology to local and national government entities is preferred.**
+ Ability to manage complex government contract negotiations alongside the core sales organization.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
+ Direct field sales experience.
+ Track record of consultative selling and team selling.
+ **15+ years of experience in a business-to-business sales capacity or equivalent.**
+ **8+ years of enterprise sales experience** providing platform and/or custom solutions to government or a related industry.
+ Successful track record of developing sales, service, bid management, and solutions delivery.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with customers, partners, and colleagues.
+ **Travel Requirements** : Minimum of 50% within APAC regions, international travel is expected.
+ Bachelor’s degree.
