Job Description
We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee projects located in D.C. and Dulles, VA. The role involves touring and inspecting job sites to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal OSHA regulations. You will report concerns to safety management and ensure health and safety standards are met through various programs and activities related to the safety management system.
ResponsibilitiesTour and inspect job sites to ensure compliance with OSHA rules and regulations.Report concerns to safety management and coordinate safety programs.Document safety inspections, cite dangerous areas, and recommend corrective procedures.Provide recommendations for correcting non-compliance issues and ensure corrections are made within designated time frames.Maintain site documentation related to safety issues, including accident reports, inspection reports, and training logs.Review daily job hazard logs and take action as required.Provide emergency response to employees as needed.Prepare documentation for accident and injury investigations and submit data to regulatory agencies as required.Assist with the development of training materials and facilitate employee training.Train less-experienced safety employees using your expertise.Utilize independent judgment in day-to-day duties and consult with management on significant decisions.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Safety or OSHA CertificationExperience in mechanical or general constructionOSHA 10, 30, and 40 certifications requiredOSHA 500 and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) knowledgeAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience commuting to D.C. for data center projectsAbility to work independently and make informed decisionsStrong communication and training skillsWork Environment
This position requires on-site work in D.C. with various projects. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
