This Sr Revenue Management Analyst supports our Purpose by translating data to performance reviews in the Revenue Management space. As our reimagined Customer Experience is taking off, continuous innovation and improvement is a priority in Revenue Management—with the goal of maximizing revenue while upholding our commitment to low fares and transparent pricing. This role will play an important part in analyzing Revenue Management needs and data in a way that they can develop a cohesive story and message to share with Senior Leadership. This Sr Revenue Management Analyst is passionate about continuous improvement and data storytelling, and they’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow in their expertise each day while helping to pilot the future of Southwest Airlines.

Job Summary

Responsible for creating and delivering complex Revenue Management initiatives and communicating business performance to Revenue Management leaders and team. Provide insights for key business drivers and implications to the overall business based on revenue results. Documents inputs, outputs, and assumptions to update Revenue Management models and plans. Responsible for maximizing passenger revenue in assigned region of up to $700M annually including the top commercial priorities.

ResponsibilitiesWork with large data sets to understand key business drivers translate findings into insights, actions, and their implications for the overall businessProvide complex Revenue Management reports and analysis for different cities and region within the network; analyze revenue performance and develop a logical story to present to commercial partnersReview revenue results, compare and analyze actuals versus plan, forecast, and prior year to investigate the cause of variances, identify trends, and monitor impacts to key performance indicatorsUse SQL to pull large amounts of data that support root cause analysis and communicationRepresent Revenue Management in cross-team discussionsDevelop and present reports and business updates for leadership on revenue performanceMay perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders

Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAdvanced knowledge of macro and microeconomics principles and the impact on demand forecastAdvanced knowledge of pricing and revenue management principlesSkilled in SQL and/or relational databasesSkilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing and assimilating data including turning raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization softwareSkilled in understanding and applying information to contribute to the organization’s strategic planSkilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problemsAbility to communicate in a flexible and effective mannerAbility to analyze and predict problems that may ariseAbility to learn new skills in existing tools or new tools (Alteryx, Tableau, etc)EducationRequired: High School Diploma or GED

ExperienceAdvanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:Revenue Management, Pricing, or similar analytical fieldBuilding Revenue Management reports and business plansRevenue Management projects and Commercial initiatives

Pay & Benefits

Competitive market salary from $ 91,250.00 - $ 101,400.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
