In Fortune Brands Innovation, Inc. we're looking a Sr Project Engineer for our New Innovation Center in Nuevo Leon, you will lead cross-functional business and engineering teams through the entire lifecycle of assigned projects, from inception to market launch. This role involves utilizing GPG’s enterprise Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) system to meticulously plan, track, and coordinate project activities, ensuring process discipline and adherence to aggressive timing, performance, cost, and quality objectives. By leveraging GPG’s Product Development Process, develop global platform architectures that meet stringent business requirements and customer expectations. Job DescriptionLead cross functional business and engineering teams through assigned Global Product Development (GPD) projects from inception to completion, and ensuring they meet aggressive timing, performance, cost and quality objectives.Utilize the Global Plumbing Group’s (GPG’s) enterprise Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) system to plan, track, and coordinate project activities. Responsible for assuring process discipline within project teams.Utilize GPG’s Product Development Process to develop global platform architectures that meet business requirements of cost, quality, timing, customer expectations and applicable standards.Drive collaboration across GPG to delivery of projects that leverage supply chain scale, and partner with Strategic Business Units on projects that enable growth. Lead product development and supply chain activities from definition to production. Own all aspects of the project - from beginning to end. “not done until it’s in the market”Ensure projects launch on time and meet deliverable requirements. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate, and updated.Meet the business impact and capital targets at launch (safety, quality, service, cost, growth).Oversee and motivate all functional areas during development to meet key deliverables (Engineering, Marketing, Sourcing, Finance, Quality, Advanced Manufacturing, and Manufacturing).Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.Ensure that timely and accurate gate reviews and routine reports are conducted on assigned projects.Perform post launch audits on projects to ensure targets have been met and report gaps to planned business profitability.Remain flexible to changing responsibilities, project prioritization, and workload adjustments.Manage day to day priorities of critical path resources when necessary to help drive results.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business or related field is required; an advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Sciences, or Supply Chain is preferred.Valid visaAvailability to travelMinimum of 3 years of experience successfully leading multiple cross-functional teams in a fast-paced new product development environment, utilizing project management methodologies and project execution best practices; PMI PMP certified, Agile experienced, and advanced MS Project skills are preferred.Experienced at identifying needs, assigning roles and responsibilities, and leading cross-functional teams to meet project deliverables.Demonstrated ability to apply discipline in the use of project management toolset (scope, schedules, budgets, reports, risk management, updates).Ability to effectively work with teams and suppliers from different cultures and countries.Demonstrated capital and expense budgeting for moderate scale projects as well as experience with project financial measures and metrics.
