Caterpillar’s Job Site Solutions (JSS) Productivity Optimization (PO) team, part of Cat Solutions, develops and delivers end-to-end productivity solutions directly for Caterpillar quarry and mining customers. JSS is growing and plays an important part in Resource Industries' services growth plan. The JSS PO team is a unique entrepreneurial team that leverages technology to drive customer value through data-driven decisions. The JSS productivity solutions deliver internal and external customers the information they need, in the way they need, to understand and optimize their unique operation. JSS Productivity Optimization customers realize tremendous gains in performance while reducing waste and emissions. This dynamic team is seeking a Sr Productivity Optimization Specialist to deliver productivity consulting, data analysis, strategy, training, and subject matter expertise to an internal team customer contract managers and traditional end Caterpillar customers. In addition, you will be assisting with developing new innovative ways to visualize information to simplify the analysis and interpretation of customers data. The solution offering will continue to evolve and grow in capability as JSS becomes the industry leader in productivity optimization services. As the number of sites with PO services expand you will be a critical team member ensuring we continue to expand the value JSS services deliver. **What you will do:** + Provide subject matter expertise to the global team of fleet management consultants. + Work with customers alongside fleet managers to define production goals and KPIs. + Analyze data to provide performance optimization recommendations to JSS fleet management team and customers. + Define and execute site performance optimization strategy for new and current customers. + Find, evaluate, and track the financial impact of performance improvements to deliver customer value opportunities. + Assist with designing data interpretations and new performance models. + Collect industry and customer productivity optimization voice. + Evaluate competitive technology and solution capabilities. + Define and manage service offering continuous improvement backlog. + Develop best-in-class performance benchmarks using industry and JSS customer data. + Assist with executing, simplifying, and scaling customer site assessments. + Own the productivity optimization execution playbook and optimization methodology. + Train internal partners on the productivity optimization process and tools. **What skills you will have:** **Technical Excellence:** Extensive experience **in data analysis, modeling and simulation** . Experience working with **quarry, aggregate, or mining industry** will set you apart. Experience with **data visualization and reporting tools.** **Customer Focus:** Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. **Products and Services:** Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations. Project management experience and a strong commitment to see projects through to completion. **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. **Negotiating:** Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner. – Is this **Relationship Management:** Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. Build trust through credibility with external customers and be strong in managing the internal matrix. Experience with change management. **Value Selling:** Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs. **Top candidates will also have:** Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, Business or related degree. Machine product and application experience. FPSim, VST or fleet performance modeling and simulation experience. Experience analyzing, visualization, and communicating complex information. Previous field experience in a dealer and customer-facing role. Understanding of optimized fleet performance and factors impacting cost/ton. Experience with SQL or similar databases. Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau. **Additional Information:** This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Tucson, AZ, or Peoria, IL office. This position may require 25 % travel. Relocation is available. Sponsorship is not available. **Summary Pay Range:** $126,000.00 - $189,000.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
