About the Position
At Thryv, we’re a team that lives by teamwork. However, it’s not the work that drives us, it’s the respect, trust, and care for each other that defines us as a team. We’re a diverse community of trendsetters who do our best work in a fun, relaxed environment. Technology never stops evolving and neither do we. We’re always looking for the best and brightest team players to join us.
This role is central to our Thryv + Keap unification strategy, advancing the AI pillar of our vision to create the definitive AI-powered growth platform for small businesses. You will own the productization of AI across the platform and lead our emerging AI Search and Insights team, empowering all teams to deliver intelligent, personalized, and proactive experiences that make running a small business easier and more effective. As a force multiplier, you will embed intelligence into the fabric of CRM, marketing, automation, payments, reporting, and partner-built Vertical Kits. You will also be responsible for coordinating with the platform and infrastructure teams to evolve our AI tools, capabilities, and internal design systems, laying the foundation for best-in-class generative, predictive, and proactive AI experiences.
Responsibilities
Drives the roadmap for AI-powered features across the platform, aligned with our mission of becoming the AI Growth Assistant for SMBs. Transforms the potential of LLMs, fine-tuned models, and vector-based retrieval into real product outcomes such as enhanced workflows, personalized automation, AI-generated content, and predictive insights. Defines and evolves a strategic framework for AI prioritization, considering customer needs, model selection (build vs. buy), ethical AI use, and responsible data handling. Partners with PMs across core cross-functional products (CRM, Marketing, Automations, Reports, Payments, and Vertical Kits) to identify and prioritize embedded AI use cases. Develops standardized UX patterns, prompt engineering practices, and AI experience guidelines to ensure consistency and usability. Leads internal workshops, experimentation sprints, and capability reviews to accelerate AI adoption across teams. Owns the end-to-end delivery and execution process by translating product concepts into detailed requirements in collaboration with engineering, data science, and design. Manages the execution of AI initiatives across both horizontal areas (shared services, prompt libraries, infrastructure) and verticals (end-user workflows). Defines success metrics and establishes telemetry pipelines to validate feature effectiveness, improve AI performance, and optimize usability. Supports the evolution of the Solution Launchpad and Marketplace by enabling AI-assisted kit creation and packaging of vertical solutions. Partners with the Developer Platform team to make AI services accessible through APIs and SDKs, extending platform capabilities to third-party partners. Ensures AI features are designed for scalability, extensibility, and partner co-creation, driving long-term ecosystem value. Leads the Search and Insights product area and roadmap, encompassing federated object search, semantic query capabilities, and intelligent reporting integrations. Drives AI-powered discovery and summarization features that synthesize multi-object data across CRM, email, payments, automations, and more. Partners with infrastructure, analytics, and AI/ML teams to evolve how users find, interpret, and act on their business data. Enables natural language interfaces and AI-generated insights across the platform’s reporting, dashboards, and command center. Delivers core experiences for the AI Co-Pilot through search, insight surfacing, and prompt-driven exploration. Resonsible for guiding the development of a chatbox tailored to our small business solutions, along with a Proactive AI Assistant that delivers next-best actions, optimized workflows, and predictive insights. Plays a key role in establishing this assistant as a core pillar of our AI strategy, driving alignment and efforts across all teams. Other key initiatives include a natural-language automation builder and campaign generator; an AI-enhanced onboarding program with GPT-assisted setup, role-based customization, and vertical-specific recommendations; an insights layer that transforms reporting and data into smart summaries, trend analysis, and actionable guidance, including semantic search, anomaly detection, and AI-authored explanations; and AI-driven kit suggestions and Marketplace intelligence that personalize the platform for SMBs experience across industries and needs.
