Sr Product Development Engineer Job Description **What is the job about?** This position is part of PD WU Controls Team. The WU PD Controls Team takes care of Product development with detailed design, technology and product platform support. The test engineer is responsible for analyzing the product features, designing test parameters, creating customized quality checks, and writing up final test procedures & Testing the PCB assembly, and more: Contribute to innovations with an agile and effective response mechanism and with fast and effective product testing. According to specifications facilitate/coordinate prototype’s building. (Modifications on existing parts, changing components for modified ones, building test related sensors so full assembly of a new prototype of Controllers / electronics / Motors and pumps) Analise, judge the test results and based on that suggest directions towards to Engineering/development. Ensure, provide high quality reporting about the requested tests/trials for all stakeholders Document all the test result precisely both in SP and in TVS. Provide strong support towards Engineering/Development including projects and other Eng. activities from the brainstorming sessions through depicting possibilities, to providing quotations. Know and use the Lab facilities and help to keep those in good conditions with ensuring maintenance. **Main responsibilities:** **DP projects and PLM** Conduct tests and build test cases / List relevant for the particular DP/PLM projects. Provide technical solutions and methods for testing. Ensure that quality, functionality, and prototyping costs meet the specified requirements. Plan his/her own activities according to the Global Lab processes. Should have deep knowledge on the global standards (UL, CE etc). Should conduct test fulfilling the compliances as per the relevant clauses of the standard like Safety, EMI, EMC, Radio etc. **Product verification and testing** According to specifications facilitate/coordinate prototype’s building. (Modifications on existing parts, changing components for modified ones, building test related sensors so full assembly of a new prototype Controller, motor, and pump) Accomplish, facilitate, coordinate tests with cost consciously by providing more test scenarios. Conduct tests with the highest possible quality. Analise, judge the test results and based on that suggest directions towards to Engineering/development. Create/update/maintain and apply standardized Test Method Descriptions for testing. **Documentation, communication** Deliver precise detailed test results in the right report form, using TVS. Establish technical information flow to relevant stakeholders in relation to Lab activities. Ensure knowledge-sharing. **Your Background:** + Demonstrating the ability to understand, read, write and speak in English language. + B.Tech in Electronics and Communication engineering. + 3+ years of relevant work experience before entering level besides formal education. + Engineering experience working in manufacturing/Lab environment or similar industrial area + Solid knowledge of test facilities, processes, and activities within the functional area. + Possess a great understanding of the relevant systems, local laws and regulations where applicable, for Pump testing.
