Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced and motivated professional for the role of Sr Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist with experiences in supply chain management, or related fields, to include business and financial planning, contracts administration, project management, logistics, or manufacturing.
The successful applicant will join Northrop Grumman’s Land Maritime and Sensor (LMS) Business Unit within the Mission Systems Sector, which is engaged throughout all aspects of the core technologies used within our major systems. This position is onsite in Linthicum and Baltimore, MD.

Sources and procures specialized goods and servicesOwns contractual management for the supplierResponsible for source selection from contract proposal to execution phasesIssues purchase ordersCoordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-usersDevelops subcontract specifications, terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or servicesPrepares bid packages, conducts bidders conferences, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontractsIn conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedulesIdentifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiationsManages performance of subcontracts, ensures compliance with International as well as FAR and DFARS, and all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulationsEmploys sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activitiesManages and develops strategic/key suppliers by having strong communication and writing skillsReviews and approves supplier payment as neededManages Subcontracts that require Certified Cost or Pricing DataConducts Sr. co-worker reviews for team member purchase orders to ensure complianceAssists with onboarding and training of new hiresBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with at least 8 years of Supply Chain/Business experience OR a master's degree with at least 6 year of Supply Chain/Business experience OR 12+years of Supply Chain/Business experience will be considered in lieu of a degreeExperience with multiple contracting formats, including Firm Fixed Price, Milestone, Material-to-Vendor, and ServiceExperience in administering Purchase Orders and Subcontracts with values in excess of $750KExperience with FAR and DFARS regulationsExperience with SAP or S4US CitizenshipEligible to obtain and maintain a Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications:
Experience with negotiating terms and conditions in a corporate settingExperience analyzing data to formulate and execute effective negotiation strategiesExperience in administering Purchase Orders and Subcontracts with values in excess of $2MSalary Range: $108,400.00 - $162,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
