Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Level 4 Senior Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in our San Diego, CA location supporting the F-22 Program within the Communications Solutions Business Unit. This position is Onsite/Hybrid located in San Diego, CA. We are unable to accommodate a full-time remote arrangement. We are looking for a data-driven Senior Planning Specialist supporting the Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization to lead, coordinate and execute assigned tasks within established constraints, while also being flexible to ever evolving program requirements.

What you'll get to do:
Develops supply chain strategy and leads activities for GSC in all phases of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP), working with program and other cross-functional team members from requirements establishment through final material deliveriesManages the GSC scope for multifaceted program(s), proposal through close-out; coordinates interdepartmental activity, facilitates internal/external team communication, coordinates with Suppliers, and integrates efforts across all GSC functionsCoordinates cross-functionally (with all program functions) to ensure supply chain commitments are established, accomplished and that appropriate integrated mitigation or opportunity plans are developed and executedLeads supply chain execution and is accountable for horizontal and vertical integration, resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity and issue management, supplier performance, and issue resolutionAligns project scope and deliverables with customer requirements and works closely with the technical communityDemonstrates problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering, or program managementRegularly briefs the GSC Program Management team and program leadership on GSC activity status and issues affecting program performance: Cost, risks and opportunities, and scheduleWill be involved in special projects and continuous improvement activitiesMentor other team members on procedural best practices with an eye for maximum cost/schedule/performance efficienciesBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 9 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with at least 7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Program/Project Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related fieldDirect experience working in Supply Chain / LogisticsExperience with SAP or similar Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system(s)Experience in working with or in the areas of supplier financial reporting/forecasting, contracting/subcontracting, or supplier/program/product schedulingExperience with or in-depth knowledge of Federal and Defense Contracting requirements including FAR/DFARS/ITARUS CitizenshipAbility to obtain a secret clearancePreferred Qualifications:
Active Secret or Top-Secret Security ClearanceMaster’s DegreeSignificant experience with SAP or similar Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system(s)Highly proficient level of experience with Excel and ability to demonstrate strong analytical skillsProficiency in Earned Value Management methodology and subject matterControl Account Manager (CAM) certificationDemonstrated success/experience in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering or program managementDemonstrated experience in stakeholder management across multiple levels of an organizationExperience working with multiple complex contracting types and agreements including FFP, CR and CPFF type contracts, while also having an understanding for special payment provisions (progress/performance-based payments)Previous proposal generation/evaluation experienceDemonstrated ability to influence team members, interact with peers and all levels of management in the organizationWhat We Can Offer You –
