Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr Principal Engineer Planning Analyst. This position, **located in Warner Robins, GA** will support multiple locations within the Integrated Mission Solutions Operating Unit of Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector. The successful candidate will be integral to the Support Engineering group, focusing on Staff Forecasting, Cost Account Management, and Data Analysis. This role primarily involves control account management and staff forecasting related to contractual, NCTA, and overhead engineering technical scope.
**Job Description:**
The Sr Principal Engineer Planning Analyst will analyze business and technical processes to develop new and enhance existing business information processing systems, such as production, inventory control, and financial tracking systems. This role will prepare and coordinate the plans and schedules for new or existing programs, determining, monitoring, and reviewing costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements. The Analyst will support and participate in negotiations with customers and analyze the effects of projects on various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources. Additionally, the role involves resolving proposal preparation problems, assessing progress against established plans and parameters, and formulating and recommending corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.

+ Capable of working independently on complex assignments with considerable discretion in determining objectives and approaches.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Analyze and improve engineering business processes concerning Digital Transformation, cost account management, and staff forecasting.
+ Track costs and labor, ensuring accurate metrics reporting.
+ Train team members in staffing tools and support the development of metrics dashboards with the Operating Unit data team.
+ Provide project management support for process improvement efforts related to digital transformation, assisting the Support Engineering Manager.
+ Support material status reporting metrics and Manufacturing Bill of Material training and development.
+ Collaborate with Program Management and Engineering/Operations teams to enhance data and process interfaces.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma/GED and 12 years of related experience
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with 8 years of experience; Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience; or PhD with 4 years of experience will also be considered
+ Minimum of 5 years of project management or business management experience.
+ Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing tasks.
+ Excellent communication, business analytical, and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong customer service skills with experience working cross-functionally.
+ Experience interfacing with engineering, operations, and procurement on manufacturing issues for DoD programs.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel functions (formulas, pivot tables).
+ Ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance.
+ Must be able to work full time in Warner Robins, GA
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Active Secret Security Clearance is highly preferred.
+ BS Degree in related field
+ Experience with Tableau/PowerBI for data visualization and reporting.
+ Demonstrated expertise with SAP and Bill of Material processes.
+ 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Project (MS Project).

Primary Level Salary Range: $107,800.00 - $161,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
