Caterpillar’s Earthmoving division is hiring a Senior Parts & Service Consultant for the Global Paving Product Group.
Role Summary: Reporting to the Worldwide Paving Life Cycle Manager, you will work closely with internal and organization partners to develop and implement services growth initiatives which deliver maximum value to customers, dealers, and Caterpillar over the life of Paving equipment.
What You’ll Do (Job Duties):
Champion the Paving parts business for the product group and supporting organizations by providing strategy leadership for assigned product families.
Lead profitable Services Growth initiatives, including development of new service and technology solutions.
Gather market intelligence (customers, dealers, competitors, suppliers) to identify unmet customer needs, emerging opportunities and threats, and potential growth areas for the aftermarket.
Develop training, marketing materials, and service tools to assist dealers to grow their Paving services business.
Provide up-front strategic aftermarket input into machine New Product Introduction programs.
Work with process partners to manage the profitability and availability of the parts portfolio throughout the machine lifecycle.
Support implementation of Enterprise Service Growth initiatives.
Work with Life Cycle and aftermarket peers in other Product Groups to benchmark and establish best-in-class processes and solutions.

Bachelor’s degree
Progressive, job related experience
Project management experience demonstrating independent leadership of complex projects.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across worldwide teams in multiple organizations and functions.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Broad knowledge in multiple functional areas such as product support, marketing, sales, engineering, product development and procurement.
Dealer and/or customer facing experience, particularly after the point of sale.
Good business acumen with ability to evaluate and prioritize projects based on financial impact.
Knowledge of Caterpillar product lines – preferably Paving products – and customer application.
Excellent communication skills and ability to present confidently to large audiences at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with Caterpillar’s services growth strategy.
Understanding of the challenges in maintaining and keeping machines running to meet customer needs.
Additional Information:
Work location: Minneapolis, MN (Brooklyn Park Paving Products Facility).
The expectation of this role is to collaborate regularly with worldwide teams, which may require a flexible work schedule to accommodate time zones.
Periodic travel (up to 25%) to dealers and customers is expected.
Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $189,000.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
