Work directly with new products as a packaging engineer. You will take the lead in design, test document and implement packaging for Resideo products. You will be responsible for cost savings through re-designs of packaging. You will develop common designs and define packaging engineering process across business units. Partner with internal and external contacts including: marketing, project managers, process managers, operations, logistics, customers, suppliers. You will have the opportunity to work with many products and packaging material solutions. You will mentor entry level packaging engineers. Protect and sell Resideo products in a growing industry. Create innovative designs aligning with voice of customer. Every end user will touch your work!. 

JOB DUTIES:
 

Define and Communicate design requirements to suppliers for quick turn Retail Packaging Projects. Use ArtiosCAD to design Retail packaging and provide prototypes from the Kongsberg Table.  Design, test, document and implement packaging for new product development on time and within budget.  Redesign and reduce cost of existing packaging materials and methods to meet established cost reduction goals.  Investigate and solve packaging damage issues. Establish supplier relations and drive standardization and consolidation of packaging. Provide factory and customer support for existing packaging designs. Design packaging that supports environmental concerns. Create test plans and perform testing and evaluation of packaging design. Support continuous improvement to packaging processes and procedures. ESG initiatives and sustainable design. Manage packaging projects from start to finish.

YOU MUST HAVE:
 

5 + years of experience in retail and/or industrial packaging. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Project manager experience (preferable on Packaging related projects). Product launch experience. This position is offered as an 8 months definite-term contract.
