What’s the role
Reporting to the STRM Manager, this role is part of the Trading & Supply business. You will lead and collaborate with team members within STRM and across T&S in the US and Canada and have direct accountability for value delivery and future growth of client portfolios.
As the Senior Sales/Originator you will be responsible for building and managing client portfolios, focusing on generating value through strategic business development, working with mid-level and C-Suite executives, working across T&S to onboard clients and counterparties, manage credit risk, deal-making, and staying compliant.
The Portfolios Includes North America OTC derivatives for crude, refined products, natural gas, power, and natural gas liquids.

Utilize existing network to develop and expand the refined products client portfolio as a primary focus areaStructure and execute complex derivative transactions for refined products clients that deliver value to both customers and ShellContribute to growth strategies across other commodity sectors including crude, natural gas, power and natural gas liquidsActively manage a portfolio of client relationships, upselling services and identifying new opportunitiesCollaborate with internal trading desks to provide liquidity and market-making effortsIdentify and develop innovative hedging structures to meet unique client needsNavigate cross-functional approval processes working with legal, credit, compliance, contracts teams and any other internal stakeholdersAdhering to and maintaining comprehensive understanding of Dodd-Frank and other regulatory and compliance requirementsContribute to people development by mentoring junior team members and sharing market expertiseRepresent Shell at industry conferences and networking eventsRole Dimensions:

The base salary range for this position is $184,000 - $276,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.
For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
