This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.

The Operator II, Production Technical Operations (Para-Professional & Support Path), is primarily responsible for handling complex tasks in production operations, including equipment setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will make resources and monitor quality, requiring technical skills and problem-solving abilities. Specifics include:

In this role, a typical day will include:

Handle complex manual or operational tasks to ensure smooth and efficient processesSet up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipmentManage resources and schedules to meet specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standardsMove, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goodsMonitor output quality to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty productsMaintain accurate daily production records for performance analysisMake minor decisions within task scope, requiring technical skills and problem-solvingReview work orders, schedule resources, and monitor operations to align with business objectives and drive excellenceAdhere to GxP regulations by following SOPs, maintaining documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing trainingCommit to regulatory compliance, meet individual job requirements, and contribute to organizational compliance and continuous improvement

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

Work Hours: Work hours: 1st Shift: Sunday - Wednesday: 6:45 AM EST – 4:45 PM EST

Previous machine operator experience is highly preferred
