Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), No contact lens allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift

Location/Division Specific Information:

The Clinical Diagnostics Division (CDD) offers diagnostic solutions for specific IVD market segments. It has a strong reputation and over 40 years of experience in the IVD industry. The division supplies products for drugs of abuse testing, therapeutic drug monitoring, quality control, sepsis diagnosis, prenatal screening, and other areas.

Our Middletown, VA team is trusted by major suppliers of in vitro diagnostic (IVD) products worldwide for OEM and contract manufacturing. We have over 35 years of experience, providing quality, compliance, and reliability.

A Day in the Life:

Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery. Perform simple maintenance and make necessary adjustments.Participate in line opening and machine set-up.Follow all written procedures. Report discrepancies in procedures (SOP’s, PMR’s, etc.) to the Area Supervisor.Document accurately and check personal work for quality and compliance.Continuously monitor product for defects.Help improve the production process by making suggestions for improvement.Assist in the training and development of peers.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related fieldPreferred: Experience in a cGMP environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Ability to speak, read, and write in English, including technical and scientific language.Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time (up to 10 hours a day)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to move repetitively, including pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, bending, grasping, and crouchingAbility to flex into multiple work environment.
