Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries (GF) seeks a leader with proven expertise in process integration, CMOS/RF device and Silicon photonics device characterization.   The characterization team will monitor and report in-line, electrical and optical parametric vs. final device figures of merit.   The role will also include identifying new test structures, measurement techniques and data analysis methodologies to improve mean time to detect (MTTD) of line issues and better predict final device figures of merit to improve device development learning cycles.

Essential Responsibilities:

Prioritize device characterization coverage vs. failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)Establish, streamline and automate effective in-line, electrical, optical and device characterization reporting standardsCollaborate with silicon photonics device and test teams to create new/improved test content and measurement enablement to improve MTTD and better predict final device figures of merit.Identify/determine process variability requirements to meet device spec requirementsDocument best characterization and debug practices to hand over to manufacturing teams.

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.

Required Qualifications:

MS, PhD in Physics or Electrical Engineering.10+ years demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams - across sites and industry groups – for programs of strategic nature, with growth into setting industry direction and impacting company earnings.15+ years' proven experience in either CMOS, RF, Silicon Photonics or Process integration.Proven record of team-based problem solving for short- to medium- term technology, design, or manufacturing issues, while providing advice on architecture, critical problems, key customer issues. Growth into impacting longer term issues.Mastery of verbal and written communication to successfully interact with highly technical teams, engage with highly versed clients and to provide documentation of the highest quality.Excellence in coaching and mentoring senior staff, with growth into work with high-level technical employees, managers within and outside the organization.Demonstrated excellence in execution, analytical & positive thinking, desire to innovate, accountability for your work and people skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Mass data analysis and Fab systemsStrong planning, organizational and leadership skillsExperience in both Silicon photonics and CMOS characterizationScripting or Coding experience in R or Python

Expected Salary Range

$131,900.00 - $241,500.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
