Job Summary:

We are seeking a visionary and strategically minded Senior Manager, Brand to lead the development and execution of our global brand expression. This role will play a pivotal part in evolving and unifying the PayPal brand across markets and channels — driving the articulation of our brand purpose and how it comes to life everywhere.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

Develop and articulate clear objectives and brand marketing initiatives to deliver results and meet organizational goalsInfluence decision-making at the senior leadership levelPerform the most highly complex campaigns using brand strategy knowledge and performance analysis expertiseDevelop and deliver innovative strategies that promotes PayPal's brand values, products and services to target audiencesLead major business projects that fosters PayPal's brand loyalty and presence in the marketDesign, evaluate, and select process, product, and service improvements based on thorough understanding of business needs and industry trendsLead others to solve issues related to diverse marketing objectives

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualification:

This role, under the guidance of the Senior Director of Brand Lead, will manage the day-to-day delivery and management of all brand efforts. As a steward of the brand, you will collaborate across marketing, product, design, and executive leadership to shape a cohesive and differentiated brand experience. This role requires a hybrid of strategic thinking and creative sensibility — someone who can translate complex business goals into compelling brand narratives and expressions. Ensuring projects are delivered on time and budget to the highest creative and brand standards and creative integrity. You’ll bring a strong mix of project management rigor and production expertise to optimize campaign delivery across multiple regions and formats.

Key ResponsibilitiesBrand Project Management:

Lead the development of brand positioning frameworks, audience segmentation, brand architecture, and naming strategies.

Partner with internal teams and agency collaborators to define and evolve our brand strategy globally and within key regions.

Translate business and marketing objectives into brand-driven strategies that deliver clear differentiation and emotional resonance.

Oversee development and governance of global brand identity systems, including visual design, typography, color, imagery, and iconography.

Ensure consistency and integrity across all touchpoints while allowing for creative flexibility and regional nuance.

Guide the evolution of the brand design system in partnership with internal designers and external creative agencies.

Lead definition and documentation of brand voice and tone guidelines in collaboration with marketing and content teams.

Support implementation across channels, ensuring alignment with brand personality and market needs.

Serve as a central liaison across marketing, design, product, and comms teams to champion brand best practices.

Act as an brand consultant — supporting teams with training, onboarding, and creative briefs to elevate brand fluency.

Collaborate closely with agency partners to deliver world-class brand experiences from concept to execution.

Help manage brand approval workflows and ensure timely reviews across leadership.

Production & Creative Operations:

Bring hands-on production expertise to ensure efficient workflows and accurate asset delivery are being met by external agencies.

Ensure agencies create campaign assets are meeting technical specifications, platform requirements, and U.S. market needs.

Collaborate with agency account and creative teams to manage creative reviews, feedback loops, and asset handoffs.

Uphold high standards of quality and brand consistency across all executions.

Manage backend production for digital, print, and CRM assets – including trafficking and QA, ensuring agreed leadership approvals have been adhered to.

Support asset management, usage rights tracking, and agreed archiving processes.

Qualifications

12+ years of experience in brand strategy, creative direction, or brand marketing — preferably in global organizations or design-led environments.

Deep expertise in brand identity, voice, naming, and integrated brand systems.

Proven success leading multidisciplinary brand teams or agencies.

Strong creative instincts and ability to bridge strategy and execution.

Exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional partners to influence brand direction.

Proficiency in brand documentation, design tools (Figma, Adobe Suite), and presentation development.

Comfortable navigating ambiguity, tight timelines, and complex organizational dynamics.

Passionate about building purposeful, emotionally resonant, and enduring brands.

The US national annual pay range for this role is $123,500 to $212,850
