OVERALL MISSION / PURPOSE

Responsible for all thermal related tasks in the TW Mechanical Engg to support and provide deliverables throughout the design standardization, RFQ & Platform development, New Program Introduction (NPI) development and Legacy models in accordance with customer requirements, regulatory standards and company quality policy. 
Aims are - satisfactory result of OTD ( On time Delivery) against the committed schedule, high quality, cost effective design, and customer satisfaction in multiple projects simultaneously as well as in good quality results.

 

KEY RESULTS AREAS / DUTIES,  RESPONSIBILITIES & TIME SPENT ON THE DUTY

New Program Introduction (NPI) development 

In any chance possible, it needs to work/design with the approach that the mat'l selected/design could be reused with the same IPN.It would be benefiicial to shorten the development leadtime and cost effective.

Support/provide delliverables to Lead engineer/team manager in standardization development.

 

RFQ & Platform development

Support/provide delliverables to Lead engineer/design team manager in RFQ & Platform development activities.

Propose thermal design concept and thermal simulation report to be included in technical proposal for customer

Support all thermal and acoustic related activity / deliverable in Platform design development

New Program Introduction (NPI) development 

Responsible for supporting all thermal related activities / deliverables in NPI development starting from Proto to PVT.

Activities include, but not limit to,  thermal and acoustic design, related verification tests, Reliability Engg (RE) test support, design review meeting, customer conference call, factory DFM review, factory build support…etc

Deliverables include, but not limit to,  CRTM, test / design check report, thermal simulation report, design document for customer approval, inof to Engineering Coordinator (EC) for BOM or document release, …etc

 

 

JOB SPECIFICATION / COMPETENCY REQUIRED

Knowledge

Airflow / Thermal management of Power supply cooling

Heat transfer, fluid and thermodynamics theory

Design and manufacture knowledge in heatsink and other thermal solution

Skills

Proficiency in FloTHERM simulation

Proficiency in thermal and wind tunnel verificaiton test

Excellent written and verbal communication skill in both Mandarin and English

Ability to use 3D modeling program

Abilities & Behavior
