Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in PDM to PLM conversion for a multi-year project onsite in New Freedom, PA. This role will oversee a major design simplification project, impacting several departments, including design/verification, sales, and finance. The ideal candidate will be a key stakeholder in migration projects, self-sufficient, and proficient in Creo and Windchill PLM. The candidate should be able to ask questions, solve problems independently, and create processes and process documents, understanding the big picture to drive project success.
ResponsibilitiesSupport a large PDM to PLM migration project in PTC Windchill.Develop and implement processes and process documentation for PLM conversions.Act as a Subject Matter Expert for consultants delivering Creo and Windchill projects.Provide system-level product support using Creo and Windchill PLM.Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, service, and quality teams to investigate and understand work impacting other areas.Essential SkillsStrong knowledge of Creo and PLM including recent versions.In-depth understanding of Windchill as a PLM tool, including options like WT part creation and EBOM generation.Experience with CREO schematics, wire harness routing, piping, sheet metal, castings, and large assembly management tools.5 years of experience in highly collaborative roles.6 months of experience/involvement in a major PLM migration.Effective presentation and communication skills.Proficient in MS Office tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with industrial HVAC chillers.Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical design or engineering.Work Environment
The work environment is onsite at a state-of-the-art design and testing facility in New Freedom, PA, built in 2017. This role is part of a long-term project lasting 3 years or more, with PTO and holidays on the clients schedule.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $68.00/hr.
