Sr Manufacturing Manager - Production Quality
Job Description SummaryManufacturing Quality Systems Engineer responsible for Administration, Execution, Observation, and Maintenance of the Edison Works Evendale Quality Management System(s). Also contributes to delivered hardware quality and shop quality assurance with heavy interaction and association with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Shop Operations, and Shop Leadership teams in both a New Product Introduction (NPI) and Production environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control. Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the marketUses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control in an ISO9001 and/or AS9100 environment)Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control in an ISO9001 and/or AS9100 environmentMust be a US CitizenCandidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security clearance
