Sr Manager Software Development

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Software Manager to lead the Networking decommissioning team in the Networking organization. In this role, you will be responsible for automating Networking rack decommissioning to safely execute refresh of the OCI networking infrastructure. You will lead a high-caliber team, ensuring the achievement of key objectives through exemplary leadership, talent development, and resource optimization. This position demands a seasoned professional who embodies OCI values and can navigate complex challenges to deliver exceptional outcomes.


As a Senior Manager in OCI, you will provide leadership to a dedicated team tasked with overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of decommissioning projects within OCI. Your role will involve ensuring that the team's objectives are consistently aligned with the broader organizational goals, maintaining a strategic focus on long-term stability and scalability, support for new product intake. By fostering a high-performance culture, you will mentor and develop team members, creating an environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth.


In addition to your leadership duties, you will play a pivotal role in talent development within the team. You will lead by example in identifying and nurturing talent, engaging in regular career development discussions, and offering strategic guidance to support the professional growth of each team member. Qualifications:

A BS or MS degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience in people management, with a proven track record in managing large-scale critical service.Demonstrated expertise in cloud engineering, networking, and distributed systemsDemonstrated ability to identify and recruit very strong engineering talentSustainably scale systems through tooling and automationExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences including senior leadershipResults driven; thrives in a development environment that is agile, collaborative, and in start-up mode, even when faced with ambiguity and competing priorities
