Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Be responsible for improving quality and on-time delivery of Advanced Distribution Management Software (ADMS).
• You will manage your own agile team and work with other teams to ensure timely testing and release of software.
• Work directly with internal and external customers to understand business and technical needs
• Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities associated with quality of ADMS software.
• Develop and strengthen shift left strategy to improve quality of software being delivered
• Work with product owners across the businesses to understand market needs & vision; quickly translate that vision into demonstrable software
• Work with CI/CD, SRE and CRE teams to drive quality improvement via automation and use of GENAI
• Provide coaching, feedback, developmental opportunities, etc. to directs. Place emphasis on not only attracting talent but also retaining it
• Demonstrate an ability to communicate the technical knowledge through project management/contributions to product strategy
• Communicate effectively both within immediate team and GE leadership. Ensure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and results
• Develop comprehensive test strategies aligned with business goals and define and document automation strategies and plans
• Choose and implement suitable automation tools and frameworks for the windows/web-based applications
• Establish and enforce quality standards, testing methodologies, and best practices to improve efficiency and product quality which are aligned with Grid Quality Management System
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as test coverage, defect density, test effectiveness, and effort to measure QA performance.
• Actively track defects reported by external/Internal customers through various channels such as ADO and GrIP and drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) effectively.
• Drive and deliver monthly releases and hot patch releases on-time.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) + with minimum 15 years of experience.7 years of experience as quality leader and 5 years experience as people leader is required.Experience in driving agile development and quality practices of large teams. Proven track record of having delivered large scale agile projects/software with focus on quality.Must be willing to travel to key sites.Desired Qualifications: Experience in working in industrial environments and power grid is a strong plusWorking on data system across multiple operating systems/cloud environments is considered strong plusAdvanced degrees such as MS specially in distributed computing or data systems is strong plusBuild Grid of the Future lab capabilities and grow innovation and engagement in organization.Additional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: Yes
