The Senior Manager Food Safety will lead the Food Safety and Quality Assurance program for United
Catering Operations for global catering and lounges. This role will develop, implement and maintain
standardized food safety policies and procedures across all catering locations and lounges to ensure
compliance with applicable regulatory requirements FDA, USDA, CBP, DOD, CFIA and other agencies.
This role is responsible to develop, implement and sustains the food safety management system and is
also responsible for training, oversight and resources required to ensure compliance with UA Food Safety
requirements.
Develop, implement and maintain COBM to define UA food safety requirements for catering locations. Develop training to communicate expectations to catering locations.Develop, implement and maintain UA food safety requirements for lounges. Communicate with hospitality partners to ensure complianceManage the food safety audit program outsourced to a third party and conduct catering facility food safety audits based on a schedule to ensure that all facilities are audited to confirm compliance with UA requirementsConduct food safety audits at lounges based on a schedule to ensure that all facilities are audited to confirm compliance with UA requirements. Support health department inspectionsMonitors quality and food safety complaints received and follow up with catering locations and clubs to ensure issues are addressed to prevent recurrenceStay abreast of recent developments in global food safety standards, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Develop and establish KPI for catering locations that include regulatory audit performance, complaints and UA audit scores. Monitor performance with a focus on continuous improvement.Maintain detailed food safety records for all catering locations and lounges on SharePoint, Safety Chain and Quality FirstWhy Inflight Services?
