**Summary**
This high-impact role will report to the VP of Communications for Freeman but be 100% embedded in the Sparks team, working closely with executive leadership, HR, marketing, client teams, and Freeman enterprise partners to deliver clear, consistent, and compelling communications that inspire employees, attract talent, build reputation, and drive business growth.
This position will support Sparks Communications. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 3 days per week based out of our Sparks Headquarters in Philadelphia, PA.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
External Communications
+ Develop and execute a cohesive external communications strategy aligned with Sparks’ brand, business goals, and Freeman’s broader narrative.
+ Drive earned media opportunities and thought leadership placements in relevant trade and business media.
+ Partner with Sparks marketing to elevate client success stories, awards, and high-impact projects through strategic storytelling.
+ Support executive visibility efforts including speaking engagements, press interviews, and social media presence.
+ Manage PR agency partners (as applicable) and coordinate with Freeman’s enterprise communications team for alignment.
Internal Communications
+ Lead internal communications strategy and execution for Sparks employees, creating transparency, alignment, and engagement across offices and functions.
+ Partner with leadership and HR on employee engagement programs, leadership messaging, and change communications.
+ Write and produce content including employee newsletters, leadership messages, talking points, FAQs, and town hall communications.
+ Serve as a trusted advisor to Sparks senior leaders, offering counsel on tone, message, and timing.
**Education & Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, PR, or related field.
+ 7+ years of experience in communications, with a mix of internal and external communications roles; agency or professional services background a plus.
+ Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editing skills across multiple formats and audiences.
+ Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and partner with senior leaders.
+ Experience managing through organizational change and growth; comfort navigating matrixed environments.
+ Proficiency in content planning, media relations, and message development.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively; comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
**Travel Requirements**
Travel up to 25%
