Overview:
As Gilead continues to transform and deliver life-changing therapies to patients, we’re seeking a strategic and service-oriented Senior Manager to lead and elevate our executive-facing programs, including, but not limited to, our Executive Transportation Program. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role reporting directly to the Vice President of Global Security, offering a rare opportunity to shape programs that directly support and influence executive leadership. This is more than a program management role - it’s a chance to shape and steward programs that reflect our commitment to safety, excellence, and executive partnership and influence programs that are critical to the company’s operations and reputation.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned program manager with a proven track record of success working alongside senior leaders and their staff. You will be responsible for overseeing complex initiatives, managing key vendors, driving operational excellence, and ensuring best-in-class service delivery to our most senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of executive-facing programs, with a primary focus on executive transportation
Serve as the key point of contact for executive leadership and their teams, delivering exceptional service and anticipating evolving needs
Manage program budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery
Develop performance metrics and reporting to track program effectiveness ,support strategic decisions, and meet audit requirements
Coordinate cross-functional efforts across security, facilities, HR, and corporate travel to ensure a seamless experience and drive journey management
Identify and mitigate risks associated with executive programs, maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times
Oversee an FTE and embedded vendor team, including coordination and resource scheduling
Ensure executive transportation program continuously prioritizes safety and security
Manage a dedicated vehicle fleet, ensuring rider satisfaction and comfort
Additional responsibilities:
As a member of the Corporate Security team, this individual may be assigned additional, specialized projects.
As a member of the broader Corporate Operations organization, this individual may be assigned additional projects in support of Corporate Operations initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and Eight Years of experience in a relevant field; OR
Master's degree with Six Years of experience plus in a relevant field, preferably in a corporate security, operations, or executive services environment
Demonstrated experience working directly with executive leadership and high-level stakeholders
Strong vendor and budget management skills
Exceptional customer service mindset with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization
Outstanding at collaborating with a variety of colleagues and demonstrated ability to work well with individuals and teams
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where discretion and professionalism are paramount
