About the Role

We are looking for an experienced people-first, proactive Sr. Manager of Product Management capable of building and leading a team of high-performing product managers to products from conceptualization to launch while delivering an unparalleled level of agility, ease-of-use, and integration capability.

This is a “hands on” people-leader role where you will build and lead a team of Product Managers to implement a data driven product roadmap. You'll regularly collaborate with our business partners, development teams, and internal customers to transform that roadmap into tangible results.

A critical aspect of this role is cultivating and championing an AI-first product vision within your team and effectively communicating this across various organizations. Your leadership style will foster positive and constructive relationships with both our customers and our internal "Workmates." Key Responsibilities:

Hire, lead, mentor and inspire a team of product managers, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities.

Develop and implement the product roadmap, aligning it with Workday’s overall strategy and goals

Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure timely delivery

Provides proactive transparency and effectively communicates delivery targets, commitments and progress

Identifies impediments early, actively works to resolve those impediments, and elevates the issue when needed

Management and tracking of cross team/squad dependencies and high-integrity commitments

Works to minimize meetings and ceremonies, but when they are needed, they are well-run and efficient

About You

Basic Qualifications:

12+ years of related experience as a Portfolio Manager, Practice Manager, Product Manager, or Implementation Consultant

5+ years leading a product management team

Functional knowledge of one or more of the following areas: Workday Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Time Tracking, Absence, Payroll

​5+ years of experience using common Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, XP)

3+ years of experience implementing AI product capabilities, with a strong understanding of applying AI concepts to product development, leveraging data for strategic initiatives, identifying optimization opportunities, and adhering to ethical AI principles.

Other Qualifications

Experience recruiting, growing, and mentoring a diverse group of colleagues

Solid communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences

Solid understanding of delivery methods and metrics.

Experienced with using Lean tools and methodologies

Demonstrated product management knowledge and experience over multiple projects

Exceptional facilitation, conflict resolution and prioritization skills

Critical thinker capable of interpreting a range of relevant data sources

Knowledge of SaaS applications, SaaS deployment models, and SaaS DevOps

Consistent track record of leading complex multi-functional technical initiatives in a fast paced environment

Experience building trust and credibility with key team members


Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $172,800 USD - $259,200 USD


 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $164,200 USD - $298,200 USD
