The Senior Manager, FP&A will lead the Financial Planning & Analysis function within the Otis Service Center in OTIS’ North America operations, overseeing profit and loss (P&L) encompassing spare parts distribution, elevator modernization, and a transformative initiative to retire a 35-year-old legacy system through the implementation of a new enterprise system. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Americas Operations Finance, the Senior Manager will drive strategic financial leadership, delivering robust budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis to optimize service operations, enhance profitability, and support business transformation. This role requires close collaboration with service operations, supply chain, IT, and modernization teams to deliver actionable insights and ensure the successful execution of the system transformation. As a key leader, the Senior Manager will shape financial strategies for spare parts distribution and modernization while driving operational excellence and providing a platform for significant career growth within OTIS.
On a typical day you will:
• Lead the FP&A function for the $60M EBIT service business, overseeing end-to-end financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for spare parts distribution and elevator modernization, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational goals.
• Drive financial strategy for transformation initiatives, leading financial oversight of the new enterprise system implementation to replace a 35-year-old legacy system, including budgeting for system costs, forecasting ROI, and assessing operational impacts on service delivery.
• Oversee financial reporting for the service business, managing monthly and quarterly financial close processes, delivering comprehensive variance analyses for spare parts and modernization revenues and costs, and presenting strategic insights to optimize profitability.
• Lead cost analysis for spare parts distribution and modernization, evaluating costs related to inventory management, logistics, labor, and modernization project expenses to identify efficiencies, reduce waste, and enhance P&L performance.
• Develop and implement advanced financial models to support service business decisions, including demand forecasting for spare parts, pricing strategies for modernization projects, and capital expenditure analysis for system upgrades and operational improvements.
• Champion profitability analysis for spare parts and modernization, leading efforts to refine margin reporting by analyzing revenue streams, cost structures, and service contract performance to drive margin improvement.
• Spearhead cross-functional collaboration with service operations, supply chain, IT, and modernization teams to develop business cases for system transformation, modernization projects, and inventory optimization, quantifying financial and operational benefits to support the $60M EBIT P&L.
• Drive strategic partnerships to align financial strategies with service business objectives, ensuring seamless integration of the new enterprise system with spare parts and modernization workflows to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and report key service business metrics, including spare parts inventory turnover, modernization project completion rates, service contract profitability, and system implementation milestones, to provide leadership with insights into performance trends and opportunities.
• Lead standardization of financial processes across the service business, implementing best practices for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to enhance accuracy, scalability, and alignment with the new enterprise system.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level financial presentations, translating complex service business data (e.g., spare parts logistics, modernization project costs, system transition impacts) into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Oversee internal audits and compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to financial controls and industry-specific regulations within spare parts distribution, modernization, and system implementation processes.
• Lead ad-hoc financial analysis and strategic projects, such as cost-benefit analyses for new service technologies, supply chain optimization for spare parts, or scalability assessments for modernization programs, to support long-term business growth.
• Mentor and develop FP&A team members, fostering a culture of analytical excellence, industry expertise, and adaptability to support the service business transformation and operational goals.
What You Will Need to be Successful:
The salary range for this role is $150,000-$175,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
