**Job Description**
Gilead Sciences Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manager Rebates to help lead in managing Gilead’s day-to-day administration, project management and processing of all Managed Care Commercial/Medicare Part D contract payments.
This position has primary ownership of maintaining strong relationships with Payers and ensuring that contract payments and associated reporting are completed on time and follow established policies and procedures. This position will be responsible for management of projects ensuring seamless coordination, timely delivery, and alignment with organizational objectives.
Additionally, this position will function as a rebate data subject matter expert to ensure proper data validation, verification of contract compliance, rebate processing.
**Job Description:**
+ Ability to manage and lead special projects as needed. Remain flexible and adaptive to changing business requirements and processes.
+ Function as a subject matter expert and technical resources on rebate systems/tools.
+ Review, process and validate customer submissions within an appropriate timeframe to ensure data is accurate to allow Gilead to properly process and pay on time.
+ Builds relationships with senior management and cross-functional teams.
+ Effectively liaises with external customers or vendors to ensure satisfactory services levels and resolve issues.
+ Establishes business relationships internally and externally of the department to facilitate current and future needs.
+ Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to pricing and contracts
+ Ensures compliance with all commercial program rules, regulations, and legislation affiliated with these programs within the scope of eligibility maintenance and the administration and processing of rebates.
+ Helps to create an inclusive environment where people can share diverse perspectives, difficult messages, or contrary opinions without fear (psychological safety) to support a respectful and transparent work environment for all.
+ Supports the growth, training, and development of Manage Care team members
+ Recommends process improvements to department management and resolves escalated issues
+ Facilitates successful product launches from a Managed Care rebates perspective (IRA, MFP, L4P).
+ Assists with developing, implementing, and complying with standardized departmental operating procedures and implements specific policies and procedures to comply with local legislation.
**Minimum Specific Education & Experience Requirements** :
+ 8+ years of related experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry and a BS/BA degree.
+ Experience implementing complex contract designs operationally in system of records (i.e., Model N), 6+ years of related experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry and a MA/MS degree.
+ Excellent communication skills, strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork, time management, follow-through, and issue resolution abilities.
+ Experience managing multiple projects at a time.
+ Ability to demonstrate flexibility, voicing concerns and proposing alternatives.
+ Able to recognize and interpret business issues/opportunities and recommend solutions through analysis.
+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint and of 3rd party claim processing tools (e.g., Imany, Model N, etc.). Knowledge of Microsoft Access a plus.
+ Experience in a utilization-based claim processing environment in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry helpful, but not required.
The salary range for this position is: $157,590.00 - $203,940.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
