Sr Manager, Client Project Management

The Sr Manager, Client Project Management ensures proper project setup, initiation, planning, and closure within TR Professional Services, providing necessary processes, reporting, tools, and overall support of both the client and employee experience they need to do their jobs effectively. The Client Project Coordinator will successfully support operations processes, while driving process improvement efforts across the business unit to achieve significant financial, operational, customer satisfaction, and/or employee satisfaction impact.

About the role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads multiple projects of high complexity simultaneously, where expertise is required to apply knowledge and understanding of current business issues to develop solutions.
• Leads team of Client Project Managers , addressing complex problems/projects by providing guidance, coaching, performance management, and support.
• Has significant influence over decisions within own area through advice, counsel or facilitating services to others in making their decisions.
• Acts as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts; allocates work as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plans, monitors and controls the stages of projects including resource planning, risk management, time estimating, scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance, status reporting, issue resolution, stakeholder communication and documentation.
• Identifies dependencies between tasks, communicates expectations to team members, obtains task effort and duration estimates from team members, and creates/tracks the project schedule.
• Provides direction and guidance to project team members regarding project goals, timelines, roles, responsibilities, potential risks, etc. Maintains awareness of progress toward project milestones (e.g., completion dates, key deliverables) and takes corrective action as needed.
• Conducts periodic reviews of project activities to ensure they are on track/resourced; proactively works with project team to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
• Facilitates collaboration among team members and ensures that all team members understand how their contributions integrate into the overall success of the project.
• Monitors progress against project plan and adjusts as needed.
• Communicates regularly with senior management regarding status of project, expected milestones, and any existing or emerging customer issues.
• Assists team members in identifying resources required for successful project completion.
• Facilitates the creation and maintenance of a collaborative environment, focusing on sharing information, data, and best practices across the organization.
• Employs effective strategies to manage group processes and dynamics.
• Ensures that routine reports and status updates are provided to internal customers.

About you:

Requirements:

PMP certification preferred.10+ years of experience managing medium-to-large software development projects.8+ years of experience directly managing a team of project managers or managing a PMO.Experience working in a Professional Services or Consulting environment.Experience working with global virtual teams preferred.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Strong customer service orientation and focus on results.Ability to manage shifting priorities and competing deadlines.Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.Proven analytical and problem solving skills.Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English that are appropriate for a client setting.PMP Certification, PRINCE2 or similar project management certification preferred.
