Your New Role:
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Business Intelligence with a strong blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and leadership skills. This role will oversee two core BI functions: the development and governance of a centralized semantic layer, and the delivery of advanced visual analytics using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Looker
The successful candidate will lead the design and execution of a scalable, enterprise-wide BI architecture, enabling trusted, self-service analytics and data-driven decision-making. This individual will collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders across the organization to deliver high-impact insights and ensure alignment with strategic priorities
Your Role Accountabilities:
BI Strategy & Architecture
Define and execute a cohesive BI strategy that integrates a unified semantic layer and consistent reporting standards across all business units and tools.Champion the use of the semantic layer as the single source of truth for metrics and business definitions, enabling consistency across all reporting and analysis efforts.Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing BI team divided into two core pillars: Semantic Modeling and Data Visualization.Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across both sub-teams.Provide guidance on best practices in data modeling, DAX/MDX, and dashboard/report design.Semantic Layer Ownership
Oversee the development, standardization, and governance of the enterprise semantic layer used across multiple BI platforms.Ensure the semantic layer is optimized for performance, scalable, and aligned with evolving business needs.Work closely with data engineering and governance teams to maintain data quality, security, and reusability.Data Visualization & Storytelling
Drive the delivery of intuitive, impactful dashboards and reports tailored to various audiences—from executive leadership to operational teams.Establish design standards and review processes to ensure visualizations are clear, consistent, and actionable across tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Looker.Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a strategic partner to senior business and technology stakeholders, ensuring BI initiatives support key business goals.Translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.Serve as an internal evangelist for BI adoption and data literacy.Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies (e.g., AI, augmented analytics) to enhance the BI ecosystem.Define and implement standards, templates, and processes to increase the efficiency and quality of BI deliverables.Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.Fluent in English (written and spoken).Experience in Business Intelligence, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Proven experience leading teams responsible for semantic modeling and BI reporting/visualization.Advanced expertise in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and data modeling tools (e.g., Tabular Editor, DAX Studio).Strong understanding of semantic layer concepts and multi-tool compatibility.Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.Other nice to have:
