HERE is looking for an experienced lawyer to join our team in Mexico. As Legal Counsel, you will be a point of contact to provide legal support focused on supporting certain sales and sourcing contracts as well as providing solution-oriented practical advice. You will be a member of the AMER Legal Team, reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel (located in USA), and a member of the broader Global Legal Team, which is comprised of highly qualified and experienced lawyers located around the world.

Main Responsibilities
Review and redline various types of inbound/outbound commercial contracts for parties located in the United States. Canada, and Latin America (including NDAs, evaluation agreements, vendor agreements, master services agreements, data acquisition agreements).Negotiate commercial contracts with opposing counsel.Communicate via email and phone with a variety of internal business stakeholders.Maintain the strictest confidentiality of matters.Provide support for drafting and maintaining legal templates, guidelines, and other legal projects.

Who are you?Qualifications and Experience.
A minimum of 8 years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house, preferably at a technology and/or IP focused company.
Experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements.Experience in working with international stakeholders.In-house experience with a technology company a plusLLB, or equivalent qualification and strong academic credentials from an accredited law school in Mexico or abroadFluent in verbal and written English and Spanish
Knowledge and Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication communication skills in EnglishExcellent legal drafting and negotiation skills.Ability to explain contract risks and obligations to non-lawyers.Attention to detail, speed, and efficiency in reviewing and drafting documents.Knowledge of intellectual property rights that are relevant for license and cloud services agreements.Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and management skillsProven ability to manage many simultaneous contract negotiations within required deadlines.Experience negotiating with opposing counsel.
